Shram Suvidha, One-Stop-Shop for Labour Law Compliance

Annual Return for 8 Central Labour Laws:-

This facility was launched on 24.4.15. It allows the filing of Online Single Return under the 8 Central Rules through the Shram Suvidha Portal. The eight Labour Laws, covered in the Common Return are:

  • The Payment of Wages Act, 1936
  • The Minimum Wages Act, 1948
  • The Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970
  • The Inter-State Migrant Workmen (RE&CS) Act, 1979
  • The Maternity Benefit Act, 1961
  • The Industrial Disputes Act 1947
  • Payment of Bonus Act, 1965.
  • The Building and Other Construction workers (Regulation of Employment & Conditions of Service) Act, 1996

Necessary amendment in the Rules to enable establishments to file Single Unified Return has been notified. Now, instead of multiple returns under the above Acts (and sometimes more than one Return in a year), the units need to e-file a Single Unified Annual return. Additionally, returns under the Rules/Regulations under the Mines Act 1952 can also be filed through this Portal.
